My aunts from Brittany, Laurence and Claudie, are visiting California for ten days.
They just arrived last Wednesday. First, they visited San Francisco on Thursday. Then, Friday was for Downtown San Jose and Shopping at Gilroy ! Shoes, clothes, handbags, re-shoes... Hey girls, the trunk of the car was full !!!
People from France always say that they are interested by landscapes, nature beauty, blablabla but always end up doing shopping! And that is true, America is the best place to go shopping because prices and choice are good and even more with the rate of exchange Euro-Dollars.
As it was the first time my family come in US and we did not visited all the National Parks nearby, we decided to go for a one week road trip with the four of us: Jean, Laurence, Claudie and myself.
So, we took the road Saturday morning and our first destination was Yosemite National Park. It is so beautiful at this time of the year because there is still some snow, nature is awaking and waterfalls are fully filled. Plus, it is not too crowded as it is in full summer!
Besides, on our way to Yosemite, we had a nice surprise: a defile for the Oakdale Rodeo and the 16th Annual WESTERN ART SHOW. The city of Oakdale goes by the slogan "Cowboy Capital of the World". And now we know why.

Since our schedule was very tight, we only did the Yosemite fall. Then, we headed towards the south of the park to show my aunts some sequoia but the road was still closed because of the snow. Never mind, we hit the road sooner toward our next destination: Las Vegas...
